Tell us about a particularly challenging/exciting project or engagement you have been due to your relationship with PDS:
I accepted a position with PDS in an industry that I was not familiar with. Learning to familiarize myself with the business processes of the company. Along with changing perspective of how different processes are from position to position and industry to industry. It has been a great experience learning new ideas and to work in the culture of the position with PDS.
How has working with/through PDS contributed to your professional growth?
Learning new ideas and processes. How change is good. We at times get in a rut, and it is very hard to think outside the box.
Can you share a specific moment or achievement that you’re particularly proud of in your career?
I took a position with a company that spun off from a major corporation to clean up balance sheet accounts. These accounts had not been reconciled for an extended length of time.
It was very challenging to learn the accounts, the reports and the people who could help me in balancing these accounts.
When the accounts were reconciled it was very fulfilling. The next step was creating a process to reconcile the accounts monthly to meet the company’s deadline.
How do you stay updated on industry trends and continuously enhance your skills? Any favorite learning resources or strategies?
I review industry websites to learn what is the current trends in my industry. My co-workers are a resource of knowledge to learn from and enhance my skills for future.
Ask questions if you are learning new skills or a new process management has introduced to improve productivity.
What advice would you give to fellow professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?
Keep learning. New processes and skills are being developed daily.

What role do you believe mentorship and networking play in career development, and have they been instrumental in your journey?
Mentorship and networking played a very important role in my journey. Rely on the people you respect from co-workers, industry professionals and friends.
